Reporting to the BMS Manager, this role will support the execution of MTTES operations in support of RAAF/ADF EW training. The MTTES Combined Operating Picture (COP) Manager operates within the Mission Control Centres at Amberley and Delamere, NT and uses the MTTES Battle Management System (BMS) to coordinate deployed operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and ensure continuous improvement of the MTTES COP Management processes

Execute COP Management for white and red force control during MTTES scenario execution.

Execute MTTES Controller roles as required.

Develop tactics and procedures for the management of the MTTES COP.

Assist the Mission Directors with operational and training analysis to develop threat representative Integrated Air Defence System (IADS) training scenarios.

Act as Deputy/2IC for the BMS Manager and manage small teams during occasional deployed operations.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Minimum 10 years experience in an ADF Operational role (Air Defence/Surveillance) or similar with proven understanding of the defence environment with EW systems.

Operational experience managing and operating a variety of track sources, track data fusion engines and interfacing with tactical data link systems such as Link 16.

Understanding of RAAF aircraft training from basic skills and drills through to large forces employment exercises.

Strong knowledge of equivalent threat systems an advantage.

Experience managing diverse teams with varying skillsets in challenging operational environments and strongly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at an operational level.

Ability to develop solutions that meet complex customer requirements.
