Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) is seeking a Factory Operations Manager of Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) to join the CCA Leadership Team. In this role you will be responsible for leadership and talent development opportunities to an organization of > 150 employees across multiple functions including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain while maintaining a safe work environment for all CCA employees and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.
The Factory Operations Manager will provide cross- functional leadership of the multi-disciplined CCA team to include the coordination of manufacturing resources and strategy required to support ongoing operations for cost, quality and schedule, ensuring operational excellence across the CCA Manufacturing process from planning through production, shipment and customer support. And is expected to champion Enterprise Collaboration by bringing best in class solutions that deliver innovative manufacturing and advanced capabilities that create sustained growth while driving affordability.
This role will be responsible for CCA production for all Raytheon Missiles & Defense high-mix programs, including full-rate production, low rate initial production, and emerging designs and requiring strong engagement with programs and customers to drive design for manufacturability and modernization of equipment / test platforms.
This position is in a fast paced, customer/program driven environment and is a key enabler leading strategic growth with regular interactions with senior leaders across RMD Operations and other functions as a member of the RMD East Operations extended leadership team working cohesively with the other directorates within operations.
The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in technical, program, and manufacturing leadership roles. The preferred candidate must be capable of working beyond the typical 40-hour work week.
◾12 years or more of demonstrated experience to include working within Operations, Manufacturing or similar production schedule driven environment.
◾Experience as a people leader and manager; encouraging and in support of performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and /or talent development while managing employees and employee relations issues within varying levels of the Organization.
◾Experience collaborating and building strong cross-functional teams gained from leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, program management or similar for a complex product domain, high-technology or large corporate environment.
◾Ability to periodically travel domestically.
◾U.S. Citizenship is required
U.S. Citizenship is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance on day one of employment with the ability to obtain special access as needed.
◾Prior experience leading in a DoD manufacturing environment.
◾Prior experience managing a collective bargaining workforce.
◾Experience utilizing SAP and other business systems.
◾Extensive experience utilizing Shop floor data systems (ideally VM or cMES).
◾Experience with Six-Sigma and lean manufacturing processes.
◾Excellent organizational, customer service, communication, presentation, and team building skills.
◾Excellent verbal and written communications with the ability to present to senior leadership.
◾Proven ability to execute against tight deadlines.
◾Understanding of Missiles & Defense (RMD) product structures and product technical details.
◾Proven track record of positive financial performance / cost reduction.
◾A great team builder with the ability to communicate clear expectations and influence teams across a wide cross-section of disciplines.
◾Active/Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Business, or related field of study.
