Job Description:

Operations Engineering within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) provides the expertise necessary to support schedule, cost, and reliability for the highest quality systems on which our customers around the world depend.

Product phases include proposal capture, process development, transition to production, and production support.

The Operations Engineering East Directorate hosts the Core Engineering Department, which is home to the Industrial Engineering group.

The IE group serves to provide support and analysis through:

Space and Facility Planning Project Management

Create and Update factory layout proposed updates in AutoCAD

Support analyses with process simulation tools

Work area capacity analysis

Conduct Utilization studies and report corporate metric

Plan and support changes to next generation platforms for Core Processes of Labor Standards, Model Based Process Sheet, Facility Planning and more

Imagine yourself as a Manufacturing Engineer II in the Core Engineering Department.

This position can be Salary Grade G07 (Manufacturing Engineer II) or Salary Grade G08 (Sr. Manufacturing Engineer I) based upon the applicant’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, leadership, experience, and responsibility requirements of the position.

Some local travel will be required.

Basic Qualifications including Required Education:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.

Two (2)+ years of related experience working in a production environment

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Simulation experience

Desired Qualifications:

Working knowledge of the following tools:

Simul8 Simulation Software


Process Simulate: Seimans PLM Software

FactoryCAD: Seimans PLM Software

Virtual Business Systems (VBS)

Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)

Minimum Pre-existing Security Clearance: Confidential

Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Must be adaptable and willing to work varying and multiple assignments.

Self-motivation and good communication/written skills

Ability to obtain a Confidential Security Clearance
