Microelectronics Operator B
2nd shift - 2:30PM - 11:00PM
Performs precision assembly, fabrication and inspection, including equipment setup and tooling changes required to produce high quality microelectronic devices such as resonators, filters, delay lines and transmit/receive modules supporting RF transmissions. Operator will need to work under minimal supervision using verbal, written and online instructions to accomplish daily tasks while working safely.
Uses a variety of processing equipment including vacuum systems, plasma etching systems, thin film deposition systems, laser and precision step measurement systems, manual wire and ribbon bonding tools, various inspection equipment, ovens, pick and place machinery and automated adhesive dispense systems.
Modifies/ alters equipment setups as required.
Works with various chemistries as well as other materials associated with the process.
Performs photolithography and metal depositions per given instruction.
Must operate in a cleanroom environment including the wearing of special cleanroom smocks, boots, hairnets and facemasks that cover the mouth and face.
Performs general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools, equipment.
Maintains records, moves material and follows safety rules in performance of duties.
Performs manual wire and ribbon bonding per given instruction.
Performs other similar duties as required or directed.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent
1 to 2 years of combined experience and specialized training to acquire skills in the area of precision deposition, passive component fabrication, measurement and trimming techniques, manual wire and ribbon bonding, equipment set up and qualification techniques.
Ability to successfully pass required assessments related to the duties/tasks outlined in description above.
-Works to verbal instructions, written operating specifications and computer instructions.
Has previous microelectronics experience.
