The Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) department designs and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, millimeter/microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) and modules for defense and commercial applications. In this role, a successful candidate is someone who has expertise in the module design area and has strong knowledge of adjacent disciplines in order to advance emerging technologies and new business opportunities for Raytheon. He or she is expected to develop technical solutions to complex MMIC and module problems that require the use of ingenuity and resourcefulness. They will also serve as a liaison and technical resource between Raytheon and external customers
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Contribute to the design, development, and transition to production of RF modules.
Support a team of multi-disciplined engineers to design and transmit and receive RF modules for radar applications and EW systems.
Collaborate on program proposals, initial concept development and being the technical resource during program execution.
Must have a strong understanding of RF and 3D electromagnetic modeling, and a deep understanding of MMIC design and characterization.
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related degree or curriculum.
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience with ADS, HFSS and Autocad or similar.
Experience with Radar/EW system design architecture.
Experience with test parameters such as S-parameters, P1dB, noise figure, and TOI, and test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, and power meters/sensors.
Experience with design and manufacturing of Microelectronic assemblies.
Experience with design and manufacturing of GaAs/GaN MMICs.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
