Raytheon Technologies Sr Mgr, Logistics in Andover, Massachusetts

As a Manager III Logistics, you’ll be an integral part of Logistics operations at the Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) site in Andover, MA. In this role you’ll support a variety of logistics functions focused on packaging and shipping, but also including: receiving, warehousing, and internal material movements. As part of your job, you’ll use a number of systems, tools, and forms on a daily basis, and will also provide frequent email and phone support. This role will be primarily tactical in nature, but will also require input to and support of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Manage and optimize Logistics team that includes front-line leaders and bargaining unit employees.

  • Development of lean strategies and collaborative partnerships for both existing operations and emerging business

  • Collaboration with leaders on new and emerging programs to formulate material, production and logistics plans and requirements.

  • Ensuring compliance with all regulations and internal audit protocols

  • Ensuring material movements meet contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of material.

  • Evaluation of leading and lagging metrics that drive and/or affect the lean material flow process

  • Leverage data analytics to optimize end-to-end value chain

  • Driving continuous improvement and demonstrated capability to utilize Lean Six Sigma as a key enabler to accomplish these improvements.

  • Daily interaction with other teams, programs, and Business Units to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include: technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance and the program management office.

  • Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, safety goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies are critical performance criteria.

    U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

    Qualifications you must Have:

  • 10+ years’ experience in logistics / supply chain, or equivalent IT/system experience in SAP Logistics modules

  • Experience with logistics, packaging, shipping and/or receiving

  • Team management or leadership experience, ideally in a represented environment

  • US Citizenship is required

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • APICS certification or able to obtain certification within 1 year of employment

    Required Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree

    Qualifications we value:
