Job Summary :
The Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Advanced Manufacturing Test Solutions (AMTS) team is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative team member to lead AMTS projects in Massachusetts. This position will be responsible managing and executing AMTS projects across RMD sites with a main focus in the Missile, Hardware Integration Center, and Portsmouth areas in Andover, MA and Portsmouth, RI. The AMTS Lead will report to the Advanced Manufacturing Test Solutions Department Manager, and will interact directly with local factory leadership, manufacturing and test engineering, Test Development Department, supply chain and other key functions to develop test strategies, factory roadmaps, deploy projects, and coordinate sustainment of systems post-deployment. The position will be networked across all RMD factories across the USA as well as with engineers from other Raytheon Technologies business units. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of project management and test equipment support in a factory setting, including high mix, low volume production.
Responsibilities to Anticipate :
Generation, execution, and management of capital Appropriations Requests (ARs) for AMTS projects
Mature and Maintain Capabilities roadmaps in support of RMD Product and Technologies
Test station strategy and migration planning for the factory
Develop 5-year plan for test investment
Interface with strategic suppliers and align capabilities with RMD and Enterprise product technology roadmaps
Interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and subject matter experts on new program pursuits
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.
Qualifications You Must Have :
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or military environment
Experience supporting/design of manufacturing test equipment
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value :
MS in engineering or business related field (for example, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering, MBA, Business Management, Program Management)
Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and Return on Investment analyses for projects
Experience with factory flow and capacity analysis
Knowledge of IPDS
Ability to work with minimum direct supervision
Ability to work in a team environment
Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
Experience with capability assessment and analysis; e.g. capability roadmaps
Strong MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word skills
Experience driving Continuous Improvement and Lean Initiatives
Experience with project management tools including Earned-Value Management Systems
Experience with new technology innovation; e.g. technical symposiums
Experience in project management with applicable toolsets
