Raytheon Missiles & Defense seeks a highly motivated, System Administrator for a position in the Test Development Department (TDD); a team focused on creating, developing, and deploying test equipment for Raytheon Missile & Defense products.
TDD is a cross functional team of multi-disciplined engineers who enjoy being a part of the entire product development life cycle. TDD works with a wide variety of assembly levels ranging from CCA to sub-assemblies to full systems. You will join a hands-on development team that fosters engineering excellence and creativity and takes pride in seeing the end product in the hands of the customer.
Be a part of a diverse project team responsible for the design, deployment and sustainment of test solutions for radar, sonar, communication, missile, and combat control systems. Projects emphasize flexible and scalable capabilities including efficient, automated product handling.
This role is to provide support to existing and future systems including maintenance, obsolesce design and management, interacting with internal and external customers for data requests and other inquiries. Working with TDD engineers to integrate new capabilities onto these systems.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Supporting Patriot test equipment and test equipment servers, ensuring they remain operational.
Interacting with and running reports for internal and external customers
Working with other Digital Technology and operations test engineering to ensure sustainability.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
4+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration, SQL Server Database Development/Maintenance, and CVI LabWindows Software Development.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
Experience with Software Configuration Management Concepts
Knowledge of Network Architecture, Server-Client configurations, Perl Scripts
Willingness to support legacy VMS Operating System Servers during the migration to Windows Server environment.
Software applications / programming skills
Understanding of engineering processes: CMMI, 6 sigma
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to work with Security team when dealing with classified systems.
Decision-making and problem-solving skills
Experience working as a member of a team
