Job Description:
Test Engineering provides technical expertise to numerous manufacturing and development Programs within the Raytheon Missiles and Defense Systems (RMD) business. Our work involves electrical hardware for radar, missile and combat systems. An opportunity exists for an engineer to join the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) team responsible for production test at the Andover, MA facility. Primary responsibilities include supporting test, troubleshooting and test development of CCAs requiring Radio Digital Embedded testing.
This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Manufacturing Engineering. The candidate will possess good communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment.
U.S. citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Secret security clearance as of day one of employment.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting production test of circuit cards on Digital Embedded platforms
Interpreting test requirements and documenting test procedures
Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause
Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process
Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yields
Engagement with Design teams to solve issues impacting production
Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed
Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of test engineering experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline
Digital Embedded troubleshooting skills and experience
Ability to travel as required
U.S. citizenship is required
Desired Qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
Digital, embedded, and programmable logic of RF hardware experience
Software development or debug experience
Data analysis/performance analysis experience
A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing test methods through process modernization
Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques
Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
