The Collins Aerospace - Information Management Services (IMS) International Accounting team is seeking a Senior Accountant to support international operations with regard to statutory reporting, account reconciliations, and ad-hoc financial projects. This role requires a candidate with a strong accounting background who can think strategically and is able to implement process improvements. Primary Responsibilities:
Support implementation of appropriate financial procedures, policies, corporate accounting guidance and internal controls to international subsidiaries
Assist in managing foreign entities’ statutory accounting functions that are processed and controlled by the IMS International Accounting team in Annapolis
Provide guidance to accounting staff on statutory vs. US GAAP differences.
Provide support and monitoring with regard to intercompany transactions and settlements
Assist operations with international accounting implications
Support international subsidiaries in their closing processes, providing support and process efficiencies
Local tax compliance and applicable filings
Basic Qualificatio ns:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Public accounting and/or private industry experience
Technical skills, including IFRS and U.S. GAAP
Analytical and automation skills
The ability to work effectively in a high growth environment with a rapidly changing organization
Working knowledge of PC and network environment, word processing, database and spreadsheet software.
Advanced knowledge of Excel required
