Raytheon Technologies’ Applied Signal Technology (AST) program is in need of Software/Systems Engineer with demonstrated experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) Missions. Position Specific Summary:
This position requires a senior software engineer providing full system and software life-cycle support for incremental software functionality. PERL support may be required for the existing system maintenance and strong JAVA experience is required for the new system. Primary work will be on middle tier development. On-Call required on a rotational basis.
This position is a combination of a Software Developer position and a System Administrator. This person will setup an instance of a government system (cloud-based system that runs programs that are wrapped in containers) and then help move analytics onto it. This person will use a government platform which makes it easy to package code and deploy components. It enables developers to iterate, test, and release new versions (or entirely new tools) rapidly, following
a process inspired by DevOps.
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly security clearance
Within the last 7 years, a minimum of 5 years' experience with designing, coding, testing, and debugging software to run under either Microsoft Windows (XP or later) or UNIX (Solaris 8 or later, Redhat LINUX) Operating System.
Software development lifecycle experience: BS degree or related engineer/technology degree can substitute for 2 years.
System Administration background
Python or Java development experience
Knowledge of distributed
Python (version 3.6+)
