Raytheon Technologies Associate Director, Capture Management in Aurora, Colorado

RI&S CTS is seeking a Senior Capture Manager who will be responsible for developing high-level market strategies in tandem with developing and implementing specific pursuit strategies within the Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community (IC) to ensure growth and competitive positioning. There is a special emphasis on capturing new cyber operations and software development opportunities, including co mputer network operations, computer network defense, collection and data analytics. The Senior CM’s responsibilities include strategies for teaming , solutions development (technical, management, and cost), proposal staffing and development, etc. They lead the development, implementation, and successful execution of these winning capture strategies, keeping the opportunity qualified while reporting status to management. Expected activities include meeting with and providing briefings to customers and key strategic partners, generating white papers on key technologies, and working with pursuit teams to ensure customer requirements are well understood and result in superior proposals.

The Senior CM is responsible and fully accountable for all the activities related to the assigned capture opportunity through contract award. They are responsible for planning, controlling, and directing all related activities, planning investment and managing the capture/proposal cost, schedule, while leading the team to successful results. The Senior CM position requires a high level of engagement with close partnerships across the organization. The successful Senior CM must be able to influence, motivate and drive winning results in high-pressure situations. This Senior CM must also demonstrate agile decision making, strategic thinking and ability drive the team to desired results.

The Senior CM is responsible for utilizing RI&S standard and CTS streamlined capture and proposal best practices, processes, tools and resources. The Senior CM is responsible for tailoring our IPDS processes to meet unique needs of the DoD and Cyber Ops Account Go-To-Market strategy to include leveraging product catalogs and aligning to an Account Team organization and CONOPS. The Senior CM is responsible for improving capture and proposal discipline throughout the Account and driving capture excellence and continuous improvement across the capture lifecycle.

The Senior CM is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication and information exchange with the CTS HCM, SP and PS Business Leads, the CTS BDE, the CTS CX Lead and other members of the CTS LT to report status, address resource needs, improve coordination and facilitate sound business decisions.

Typically Required Skills:

    • Minimum of 12 years of DoD or IC experience
  • At least 6 years of demonstrated capture management experience

  • Experience leading capture and pursuit bookings between $100M to $500M

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in stressful business situations;

  • Demonstrated competence to work independently, or as lead / influence a high performance team; a highly motivated self-starter;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of associate contractors and the competitive landscape

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be available to travel domestically as needed

  • Current Top Secret/SCI FSP clearance required

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Raytheon Technologies’ businesses, policies, and practices

  • Experience with Federal agencies or equivalent corporate business experience

  • Demonstrated networking capabilities among various communities, e.g., acquisition officials and leads in DOD and other government agencies

  • Experience working with Federal acquisition process

    Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management or a related Engineering discipline
