The APEX program is looking to grow its Office of Chief Engineering group with the addition of a Chief Engineer (CE).This Chief Engineer role is responsible for the g uiding and directing all engineering teams (e.g. hardware, software, systems, specialties) to achieve program and technical success that are aligned and compatible with our current delivered operational capabilities.

Clearance Requirements:

An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearance

Hires, for this position, are eligible to receive a $40,000.00 signing bonus, when hired with a verified "Active" TS/SCI clearance

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years demonstrated engineering leadership experience with proven track record

  • Understanding of the Systems Engineer lifecycle and change management process

  • Provide technical leadership in architecture definition and trades, requirements analysis, CONOPs, algorithms, interface definition, hardware and software design, procurement, integration, validation and verification to multiple programs within the APEX portfolio.

  • Provide engineering authority to all decisions impacting product integrity, system performance, and system functionality

  • Creating technical presentations to both internal and external customers

  • Communicating status, results, and recovery plans (if needed) to senior and executive management

  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships

  • Partner with the Program Manager to ensure flawless program execution

  • Partner with IPTs to establish and report engineering metrics/TPMs and provide engineering-approved inputs for EACs and/or proposals, as needed

  • The ideal candidate should have experience in managing, driving, and prioritizing the technical approach, develop capabilities and deliver Customer Objectives that form the backbone of the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality.

  • In addition, the candidate must communicate any risks or issues involving system performance, availability, or security, to his or her project leadership, while maintaining cost and schedule for the overall effort

  • Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD

  • Experience with Satellite systems & ground architectures

  • US citizen with a current TS/SCI w/Poly clearance

    Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a technical leadership role of a large (200+ person) multi-disciplined engineering team

  • Experience in preparing and delivering briefings to customers and internal management

  • Experience with new business development efforts through leading and writing proposals, supporting Engineering Bid Reviews (EBR).

    Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 to $224,300; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
