The Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer. The Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting Network design solutions for Raytheon Technologies program areas for state-of-the-art next generation satellite systems. These systems provide global coverage for various customer products, collect, disseminate and process data that will be provided to end customers.
The ideal candidate will join the Raytheon Technologies team and collaborate with other organizations such as Hardware, Software, Systems and Information Assurance to implement best Network designs and practices. The Network Engineer will participate in the development of architecture and designs as needed for future generation satellite systems. Tasks include designing\implementing switch, firewall, and router configurations, and owning the interface control document (ICD) for networking. Individual should possess solid knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices.
Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) for the US Government.
Specialized skills required for this position:
Familiarity and ability to read, understand, and implement configurations of:
Cisco ASA firewall experience with Contexts, filters, SSL VPN
Cisco ISR Router experience with GRE and IP Sec tunnels as well as ACLs, OSPF, NATs, HSRP
Cisco LAN Core and Distribution switches, experience with ACL’s, routing, hardening
5+ years of relevant experience
In-depth understanding of network technologies and associated services, management, and security practices/techniques
Experience with hands on Keyboard in order to implement solutions, control and manage the system as necessary
Proven communicator with Leadership, Peers and Subordinates
Knowledge/experience with WAN implementations
Cognizant of network topologies as well as understand necessary configuration details
Familiar with TCP, and secure protocols
Experience with Data Center LAN design, Implementation, diagnostics, performance and management
Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally
Knowledge/experience with SAN implementations (iSCSI, Fiber Channel)
Knowledge/experience with VMware implementations
Knowledge/experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmarks
Network Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP
Experience with Configuration Management
Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of related work experience.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $86,500 to $160,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
