Raytheon Technologies Senior Multi-Disciplined Engineer I - Defensive Space Control (DSC) in Aurora, Colorado

Job Description:

This position provides senior-level technical expertise, analysis, and engineering support to the Weapons and Tactics (W&T) Office. This position requires excellent system engineering, analytical and problem solving skills in a team environment. Supports a proprietary customer with operational support to 24/7 Operations. The selected candidate must be able to:

•Serve as a technical liaison with customers and demonstrate strong project leadership skills collaborating across customer and contractor boundaries

•Perform in a high tempo, enthusiastic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors

•Keep customer and contractor leadership appraised of activities, deliverables, problems and opportunities

•Provide Defensive Space Control (DSC) support to Enterprise projects as well as to other programs as instructed by the customer

•Maintain situational awareness on evolving threats and new developments including participation at key conferences and forums

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop, coordinate, train, evaluate, and analyze Courses of Action (COAs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), Response Options (ROs) and CONOPS documents

•Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Planning functional areas to provide vehicle and system vulnerability/capability assessments based on available threat intelligence data

•Identify shortfalls in indications and warnings, and foundational intelligence

•Incorporate space protection processes into station procedures, processes, training, requirements, CONOPs, directives and/or operating instructions

•Develop and deliver tailored space protection related presentations for Engineering, Operations, and Planning customers and contractors, as well as external senior leadership

•Use available data and visualization tools to analyze and assess threat events and options

•Maintain awareness as threats evolve; as new systems become operational and as future systems are planned

•Develop mission plans for various threat scenarios

•Support Space Control related tests, exercise, and training

Required Skills:

•An active and in-scope TS/SCI with Poly U.S. security clearance

•Experience and knowledge of engineering environment

•Superb engineering skills

•Experience and ability to communicate directly with customers and Prime while maintaining composure and professionalism on complex issues, supporting manager and team perspective on a variety of issues

•Experience and ability to translate thoughts and ideas into effective communication in a variety of formats

•Experience and ability to perform detailed work with speed and accuracy

•Ability to carry a pager and respond on a 24/7 basis as necessary

•Strong written and verbal communications skills

Desired Skills:

•Prior Defensive Space Control

Required Education (including Major):

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $66,900.00 to $120,400.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
