Raytheon Technologies Senior Software Integration Engineer II in Aurora, Colorado

The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is looking for Systems and/or Software Integration Engineer to support several programs. You will support the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. You will provide technical direction and clarification of integration activities, including but not limited to software and hardware installation and integration, regression testing as well as software and hardware deployment. Participating in prime/customer meetings, including Integration &Test Strategy Meetings, Integration and Test Readiness as well as Pre-ship Reviews.

Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with the prime, customer, RTX and peers.

The Integration Engineer attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel, and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of their project, provides status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as desired and provides document review and resolves technical systems integration issues. Additionally the Integration Engineer supports Engineer Change Process efforts. In additional to program efforts the candidate may be asked to support various proposal efforts. This candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $12K for a candidate with a current Top Secret clearance with that can be verified and hired at RIS.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated engineering experience with a track record of results

  • Thorough understanding of the Systems Engineering development lifecycle and change management process

  • Experience installing and integrating software (COTS and custom) on Linux/Unix platforms

  • Demonstrated ability to meet timelines

  • Trouble-shooting skills for systems comprised of software and hardware

  • Experience performing regression test activities and Discrepancy Report (DR) verification

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and team member contributors on the program.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools

  • Current active Top Secret clearance

    Desired Skills:

  • Systems Integration Engineering experience on a large government software development contract

  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of

  • Experience with Ground equipment/Radio Frequency (RF) equipment

  • Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation

  • Experience in Systems Engineering process development and deployment

  • Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master

  • Experience with Automated Test Tools, Cucumber, Gherkin and others

  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Systems Engineer and Verification teams

  • Experience with scripting languages, python, etc.

  • Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    •Bachelor's degree is required. STEM degree is preferred. Along with 2+ years’ of relevant experience


•Master’s Degree STEM preferred with 0+ years’ of relevant experience

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $86,500 to $160,00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
