Raytheon Technologies Senior Systems Engineer in Aurora, Colorado

The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is looking for a Systems Engineer to support the Vail program. T he candidate will support the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. The candidate will support the clarification of requirements to software agile development teams, integration and test personnel, system engineering analyses including trade studies, use case development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification and supports planning / development and interfaces with personnel from other organizations. The Systems Engineer attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel, and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of their project, provides status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as desired and provides document review and resolves technical systems engineering and integration issues. Additionally the Systems Engineer supports Engineer Change Process efforts as desired. In additional to program efforts the candidate may be asked to support various proposal efforts. This candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $15K for a person with a TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon Intelligence & Space

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience with a track record of results

  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering development lifecycle and change management process

  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Integration and Verification teams

  • Knowledge of and experience working in DOORS or similar requirements management tool

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of organization and team member contributors on the program team

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools

  • An active and in-scope TS/SCI US security clearance

    Desired Skills:

  • Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract

  • Experience with Command & Control software development

  • Experience in Systems Engineering process development and deployment

  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using DOORS, Enterprise Architect and JIRA or similar tools

  • Experience with Ground equipment/RF equipment

  • Experience in integration, and/or verification and validation

  • Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent

    Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree is required along with 10+ years of relevant experience

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $54,000 to $114,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
