Raytheon Technologies Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer II in Aurora, Colorado

The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is looking for Systems and/or Software Integration and Test engineer with Command and Telemetry experience to support the (EOS (Earth Observing System) Mission Operations System) (EMOS) program. You will support the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. You will provide technical direction and clarification of integration and/or test activities, including but not limited to integration or test procedure and test case development, support planning and execution of informal and formal test events to include requirement verification, regression testing as well as software and hardware deployments. Participating in prime/customer meetings, including Integration & Test Strategy Meetings, Test Readiness as well as Pre-ship Reviews.

Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with the prime, customer, RTX and peers.

The Integration and Test Engineer attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel, and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of their project, provides status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as needed and provides document review and resolves technical systems test issues. Additionally the integration and test engineer supports ECP efforts. In additional to program efforts you may be asked to support various proposal efforts.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $12K for a candidate with a current TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired at RIS.

Required Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the Systems Engineering development lifecycle and change management process

  • Trouble-shooting skills for systems comprised of software and hardware

  • Experience with leading and performing regression test activities and Discrepancy Report (DR) verification

  • Command and Telemetry experience

  • Experience with formal requirement verification activities including test procedure development and execution of factory acceptance testing

  • Integration engineering experience on a software development contract

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools

    Desired Skills:

  • Systems Test Engineering experience on a large government software development contract

  • Experience preparing and executing Integration procedures

  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations

  • Experience with Ground equipment/RF equipment

  • Experience in verification and validation of system and/or subsystem requirements

  • Trouble-shooting skills for systems comprised of software and hardware

  • Experience performing regression test activities and Discrepancy Report (DR) verification

  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Integration and Verification teams

  • Experience with scripting languages, python, etc.

  • Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent

    Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM Degree Program with 5+ years’ of relevant experience - OR

  • Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM Degree Program with 3+ years’ of relevant experience
