Raytheon Technologies Senior Test Engineer II in Aurora, Colorado

The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is looking for Systems and/or Software Test Engineers to support the EUMETSAT program. You will support the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. You will provide technical direction and clarification of test activities, including but not limited to test procedure and test case development, planning and execution of informal and formal test events to include requirement verification, regression testing as well as software and hardware deployments. Participating in prime/customer meetings, including I&T Strategy Meetings, Test Readiness as well as Pre-ship Reviews.
Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with the prime, customer, RTX and peers.
The Test Engineer attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel, and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of their project, provides status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as desired and provides document review and resolves technical systems test issues. Additionally the Test engineer supports ECP efforts as desired. In additional to program efforts the candidate may be asked to support various proposal efforts. This candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $12K for a candidate with a current TS/SCI clearance with that can be verified and hired at RIS.
thorough understanding of the Systems Engineering development lifecycle and change management process
Experience in test plan, test procedure development and verification and validation of system and/or subsystem requirements
Experience with leading and performing regression test activities and Discrepancy Report (DR) verification
Trouble-shooting skills for systems comprised of software and hardware
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
Current active Secret clearance
Systems Test Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations
Experience with Ground equipment/RF equipment
Experience in Systems Engineering process development and deployment
Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Systems Engineering and Verification teams
Experience with scripting languages, python, etc.
Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM Degree Program with 5+ years’ of relevant experience - OR
Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM Degree Program with 3+ years’ of relevant experience
