The Satellite Transport and Control (STC) Business Development (BD) Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new business within the classified and DoD customers with special emphasis on integrated, state-of-the-art ground system solutions for US Government (USG) customers.
The capabilities within STC consist of satellite communications transport, constellation management & optimization; mission management (MM); command and control (C2 / TT&C); planning and scheduling; flight dynamics; infrastructure services; and, systems-of-systems integration to produce cohesive ground system solutions for USG customers.
The STC BD Manager will also be responsible and instrumental in leading or co-leading STC strategies and collaborating across business areas to advance technologies.
The BD Manager is responsible for annual bookings in excess of $250M with heavy emphasis on competitive opportunities. The Sr. BD Manager is responsible for market analysis, strategy development, managing the execution of the strategy, and monitoring progress toward organizational objectives. This Sr. BD Manager will provide analysis and strategic leadership enabling the organization to understand important quantitative and qualitative factors in the development of business and portfolio analysis, key customer and competitor needs, and other overall market and technical environment analysis.
The BD Manager is also responsible for the management of capture and proposal activities including timely management gate reviews, process compliance and transition to the program execution team. The Sr. BD Manager drives teaming decisions, pricing and win strategies. The Sr. BD Manager is directly responsible for planning, management, and oversight of New Business Investment funding, and for the development of a pipeline of opportunities between 3x-4x revenue.
The BD Manager reports to the Director of BD and will partner with the STC Program Area Director to achieve growth and profit objectives.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in strategic planning or business development, or equivalent military leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience leading successful new business captures or acquisitions
Demonstrated knowledge of the Intelligence Community (IC) & DoD market contractors and competitive landscape
Demonstrated experience in the acquisition, development, integration, or operations of satellite ground systems
Desired Skills and Experiences:
Senior level military, government or related corporate business experience
Air Force Space Command, US Space Force, or Intelligence Community staff experience with focus on future architectures.
Acquisition experience within Space and Missile Center (SMC), US Space Force, and/or the IC
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or other related field
Active TS/SCI clearance required

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $106,800 to $ 208,300 ; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
