Raytheon Technologies Systems Software Integration Engineer in Aurora, Colorado

GPS OCX Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Team has an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Systems Software Integration Engineer providing technical excellence for a large scale system development program. This candidate has experience with prior large scale Software Integration, with proven troubleshooting, problem isolation, and problem solving skills on software and hardware based systems. This role will include focus on integration of a large satellite ground system, which is a mixture of new and reuse software products.

Clearance Requirements:

An active and in-scope Secret U.S. security clearance

This position qualifies for a sign on bonus of up to $15,000 for a candidate with an active TS/SCI or higher clearance that can be verified and hired at Raytheon Intelligence & Space

Work Location:

Aurora, CO

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle including system integration for large scale systems using state-of-the-art technology

  • Integration of COTS/FOSS

  • Use of discrepancy report systems and developing closure plans

  • Experience developing methods that exercise interfaces external to the ground system being tested

  • Experience working across product teams in a complex multiple stakeholder environment

  • Thorough desire to learn, take initiative and contribute in a team-oriented environment

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle models (waterfall and Agile)

  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as required to achieve milestones

  • Must be willing to work >50 hour work/week for extended periods of time

  • Must be willing to travel; expect >50% travel for short duration (2-3 mo)

    Desired Skills:

  • Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract

  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations

  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with SW, Integration and Verification teams

  • Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent

  • Experience integrating software running on Windows and Linux based operating systems

  • Experience integrating in a WebLogic based system

  • Experience integrating, troubleshooting, problem isolation of software and hardware based systems, including analyzing software logs and working with software teams to resolve issues

    Education Requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, preferred); OR

  • 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, preferred)
