Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Performs electrical design, development, analysis, and test of electrical systems and circuits within Lighting Oxygen Passenger Service Unit Interiors including:
Develop or modify circuit Designs for Aircraft Lighting, Oxygen, and Passenger Service applications.
Develop or modify circuit layouts and routing guidelines
Analyze circuits, signal integrity, and timing
Create design verification plan and procedures
Assess components for obsolescence
Complete electrical design standard work activities
Support troubleshooting of development, production, and aftermarket unit testing
Continuously find opportunities to improve processes and reduce cost
Develops operational, maintenance, and testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processes.
Develops test procedures and reports to support product qualification to applicable aircraft standards.
Troubleshoots electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
Designs, fabricates, modifies, and evaluates electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in other equipment and devices supporting the production of product.
Analyzes and evaluates new or improved electronic components.
Design products which incorporate AC-DC and/or DC-DC power generation/regulation, data transmission and distribution, CMOS, FPGA, ASIC, or similar software integrated control systems, illumination, System level wiring layout and servomechanisms.
Includes circuit theory, system logic design and development, instrumentation, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, LED's, and display techniques with emphasis in designing to support product produced primarily for commercial and/or military aircraft applications.
Possibility to travel to locations both within and outside of the US.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 1 years of relevant experience
Good communication and presentation skills in English (verbal and written).
Candidate must be a U.S Citizen.
Previous experience working in the aerospace industry
Bachelor's degree/ Advanced degree in electrical engineering or related
Knowledge in Power Electronics/Power distribution from 115VAC/400 Hz, 270VDC, or 28VDC
Experience with analog and digital interfaces, electronic analysis techniques and laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzes, and other related test equipment.
Familiarization or expertise with common electrical components
Experience with DO-160, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461 a plus
Experience with Hardware/Software integration and troubleshooting
Ability to troubleshoot potential causes of production failures and devise a solution to prevent repeat issues in the future
Ability to complete a root cause analysis (e.g. fault tree, 5 Why, fishbone)
Familiarity with manufacturing and quality assurance techniques
Knowledge of Printed Circuit Design PCD tools such as Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, etc.
Knowledge of CAD tools such as Catia, NX, Solidworks etc.
