Collins Aerospace in Brea, CA is seeking a Quality Inspection Senior Supervisor to support the activities in our Hoist & Winch product line. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of Quality Inspectors as well as managing the overall quality inspection processes at the site.
Leadership of the inspection teams
Management of materials flow through the inspection cells.
Will coordinate inspections or work with material planners and operations.
Strategic and tactical management of the quality and inspection organization.
Identify and execute department / site improvement activities.
Manage and prioritize substantial and diverse workload and changing priorities.
Develop and provide training and technical support tools for users with varying levels of inspection skills.
Completing annual performance reviews.
Coach and mentor on job performance.
Communicate and escalate constraints to responsible patties in real time.
Manage receiving inspection plans to meet customer requirements.
SAP and department reporting to support escapes and material flow management.
Understanding FAA regulations for Part 21 (OE) and Part 145 (MRO)
Site supplier quality metric:
Review and disposition QN for supplier caused events
Data scrub for site - to corporate metric (PDPR): QN, Aerovantix RTV, PPM
Monthly supplier performance review to support site CAB, Pareto poor performing suppliers for action and tracking.
MRO Supplier, 145 compliance requirements, audit maintenance
Testing and Calibration Lab maintenance and audit management
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Aviation quality experience
Previous leadership experience
Understanding of FAA regulations
