Direct/manage a group of skilled employees in activities associated with the purchase, construction, maintenance, calibration and modification of Plant and Test Cell facilities and equipment. Coordinate purchasing activities and manage critical spare inventories to prevent excessive shop equipment downtime. Coordinate project schedules with maintenance employees and operations to meet project milestones. Oversee and operate an efficient and cost effective preventive maintenance system on all shop and test cell equipment.
Work with and coordinate the activities of various support organizations to ensure facility equipment is properly maintained, and ensure employees are adequately trained and work in the safest possible environment. Provide leadership with emphasis on team building through effective communication and responsiveness to customer and program requirements. Establish effective levels of responsibility, and performance goals for subordinates.
Employee will be primary contract coordinator for the site, and will have the responsibility of overseeing a variety of skilled tradesman (welders, electricians, instrumentation techs, plumbers, machinists, etc.). Employee will be responsible for issuing confined space permits, hot work permits, etc. Employee will perform safety orientations and job safety analysis/tailboard meetings as required by project scope. Employee will take part in the management of change committee.
Associates or B.S degree +5 year experience in an industrial maintenance roll
Must have OSHA 510 certification or the ability to obtain certification with 2 months of hire date.
Prior experience with lock out tag out, confined space entry, and hot work permitting procedures.
Prior exposure to industrial electrical safety and NFPA 70. (No requirement to have performed electrical work, just an awareness to provide supervision to qualified electrical workers).
Proven communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with "internal" customers at all levels of the organization. Self-motivated, high-energy leaders with the ability to initiate, direct and lead. Excellent analytical ability. Proven computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Must have demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and the ability to become a change agent in supporting ACE implementation.
B.S. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or an equivalent technical field plus 7 years related experience.
