Raytheon Technologies Business Communications Lead in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Raytheon BBN is looking for a Business Communications Leader who will be responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communication strategies. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of new mission area communications campaigns, providing counsel to business area and company executives, using multiple platforms and tactics to tell a coherent business and R&D story and liaising with Raytheon Intelligence & Space Communications team.

What you will do
The Communications Leader will develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to support business objectives. The Communications Leader will leverage prior experience and best practices to shape a compelling strategy to:
Internal and External Communications to support brand management
Engage employees through intranet and digital market engagements
Create new and innovative leadership platforms for leadership
Partner with the business units to build campaigns and media on programs and recruiting
Understand and adhere to all Raytheon policies and procedures, especially as relates to ITAR and other government regulations
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Propose, research, write, produce, and distribute a wide range of strategic and tactical communications; create awareness, excitement, and understanding of business topics, new programs and/or processes
Building strategic relationships with key business stakeholders in Business Development, programs and functions;
Assisting in the development of marketing and advertising plans to support campaigns;
Preparing employees for media engagements;
Proactively engaging the media in support of campaigns;
Digital and social media storytelling through the creation of original feature articles, videos, photographs, etc.
Developing key messages, talking points, speeches and news releases.
Proactively partnering with Raytheon Communications team on campaigns, news features, press releases, talent reviews, etc.
What you will need
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or related field
At least 10 years of related experience in media relations, employee communications and brand communications. Military public affairs experience is highly desired. Proposal support a plus. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans.
Demonstrated experience writing press releases, internal company communications and leadership communications.
A proven ability to translate complex technical material so that it is easily understood by a general audience.
Ability to develop relationships at all levels of an organization and across functions.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Highly developed verbal and written communications skills.
Highly Desired Skills
US Government proposal writing experience
Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
Knowledge of the defense, aerospace or related industries
