The Field Supplier Quality Engineer (FSQE) is the primary quality interface between Raytheon and the external supply base. You will be on the front lines providing technical leadership to ensure capable manufacturing systems and products at the supplier’s production facilities.
The Raytheon Missile and Defense (RMD) Camden FSQE team is seeking a self-motivated field engineer who will improve productivity and ensure the supplier technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. FSQEs must be effective communicators with demonstrated leadership skill to lead teams consisting of both supplier and Raytheon personnel. This individual will manage multiple parts covering a variety of RMD programs to prevent supplier escapes or a delay to delivery schedule. It is expected that the FSQE live within 50 miles of Camden, AR.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Interpret and ensure flow down of purchase order quality requirements and technical requirements to supplier (sub-tier suppliers included)
Plan and lead supplier assessments
Identify and mitigate performance issues within the supplier’s quality and manufacturing systems
Validate and Verify supplier requests for product and process changes
Coordinate product/process improvement projects using statistical/analytical tools such as Six Sigma and lean methodologies to drive root cause and corrective action
Monitor and status supplier manufacturing process and product performance
Work closely with internal customers, engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance to drive supplier’s performance to goals
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of related Quality, Manufacturing, or Technical experience
Proven project management success leading process improvement teams
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to resolve issues throughout the factory flow
Ability to analyze data and ensure detailed status to the integrated supplier team
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
