Raytheon Technologies Lead Technician in Canberra, Australia

We are seeking applicants who are passionate to provide exceptional maintenance support to ADF satellite communication systems. As a Lead Technician, you will provide operational maintenance support of SATCOM terminals and rack-based RF / communications equipment based at HMAS Harman. If you are driven and committed, we have an exciting forecast of work ahead to allow for career growth and gaining multi-disciplinary experience.

The role also allows for delivery of technical training to ADF, Raytheon Australia and other contractor personnel at numerous sites, upkeep of Training Management Packages, conducting of training evaluation and provision of support to training review boards for both fixed and transportable SATCOM systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of specialist on and off-site maintenance services to SATCOM systems, components and associated support and test equipment

  • Provision of support to Engineering, Configuration Management and Logistics Analysis activities

  • Provision of supply support for Breakdown Spares, Repairable Items and Support and Test Equipment

  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, technical management and Export/Import obligations

  • Participate as a rostered member of the on-call team

  • Maintain strong customer relations

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Certificate III or IV in Electronics and Communications

  • At least six years relevant post-qualification experience

  • Knowledge of and experience with terrestrial or Satellite Communications Systems

  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools, especially Excel

  • All applicants must hold or be able to obtain a NV1 defence security clearance.
