The Mission Systems Engineering Applications Support team is seeking a Software Technician with a passion for problem solving and satisfying customers! A successful candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be eager to learn new skills and take on challenges outside their comfort zone! A candidate in this role will work on a cross functional team that supports our Engineering customers across Collins Aerospace as they seek to deliver quality solutions to our government customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing the support request system to receive, diagnose, and resolve issues related to engineering applications

  • Assisting in migration efforts

  • Managing support request backlog

  • Coordinating support priorities with other team members to ensure timely resolution of issues

  • Engaging and teaming with other roles within the team to fully resolve complex issues

  • Performing release testing for new versions of tools

  • Authoring and editing wiki articles to increase the value and accuracy of the tools knowledge base

  • Gathering and processing metrics, and performing other related duties as required

  • Delivering tool-related training and demonstrations to increase awareness and understanding within the user community

QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:

  • Customer service in an enterprise environment

  • Able to navigate / troubleshoot computer operating systems, security, and productivity tool issues

  • Common computer applications (Microsoft Office, Google Apps for Business, MS Edge & IE, Google Chrome, and collaboration tools such as Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc)

  • Enterprise computer environments (storage & file shares, account management, group policy, and networking)

  • Above average knowledge of principle of least privilege, access permissions, data/user security roles and responsibility definition

  • Engineering tools knowledge such as; Jira, Confluence, Jama, Subversion, and DOORS (preferred but not required)

  • A+ and/or Network+ certification (preferred but not required)

  • Security+ certification (preferred but not required)

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.

  • This position requires you to work in a restricted facility requiring US citizenship.

  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance
