The Test Engineering Design Services team is seeking to fill an Electrical Engineering position with a talented individual who possesses a BSEE or BSCmptrE degree or equivalent. The primary responsibility for this position is to develop and sustain manufacturing and service test equipment in support of GPS systems and RF products. The engineer who fills this position must have strong troubleshooting, problem solving, development, and integration skills. This position will utilize electrical designs, software development, and debug skills on top level and sub level test systems. These test systems include but are not limited by the following COTs equipment: oscilloscopes, DMM's, power supplies, electronic loads, etc. The candidate will need to be comfortable with the following communication platforms I2C, USB, Ethernet, PCI bus. This position also requires development and support of Environmental Stress Screening (ESS - thermal and vibration) test equipment and software suites. QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
Software skills in C#, C++, LabVIEW or NI TestStand
Digital/RF I/O Testing and requirements capture
Review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage for manufacturing and service environments
Ability to reverse engineer existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built)
Excellent time management skills - ability to work unsupervised, multitask and delegate work to support technicians, assistants and peers
Design and implement activities required to deploy the project test solutions to world-wide destinations
Factory support experience
Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management and customers
Highly motivated and possess effective oral/written communication and interpersonal/team skills
This position will be located in Cedar Rapids, but the candidate may be required to travel on occasion
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
US Citizenship is required. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance
