This position is for an established Program Management professional supporting the Advanced Solutions Value Stream Leadership (VSL) Team. The position manages elements of small/medium programs and demonstrates continuous improvement, presents progress reports, and works to solve program problems. This position will be supporting the CNG Advanced Solutions VSL team in all activities associated with the pursuit, order, capture, and execution of existing and future programs. Initial emphasis will be to support the Programs with risk management, internal/external status meeting prep/coordination, PMR support, sending MSR/IPMR reports to external customers, and offloading VSL with various activities. This person’s work will be driven by VSLs in the Mission Systems Advanced Solutions teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that program plans, schedules and budgets are followed.

  • Gathers data to monitor program’s progress in terms of cost, schedule, and technical specifications.

  • Prepares plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s).

  • Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.

  • Identifies program problems and supports resolutions to ensure the successful completion of programs.

  • Partners with functional organizations to achieve alignment with customer program objectives.

  • Provides expertise in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests.

  • Directs all program phases from inception through completion.

  • Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.

  • Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

  • Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.

  • Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.

  • Deadline Driven – Programs have hard deadlines and often approval meetings need accomplished prior to those deadlines.

  • Persistence – Dealing with hardware for a program requires the ability to be tenacious to get the answers needed to make decisions.

  • Detail-oriented multitasker – The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple issues that affect many Mission Systems products at the same time.

  • Analysis – Demonstrates the ability to provide a logical, in-depth analysis of a problem or situation.

  • Coordinating – Ensures that information has been received and accurately understood by all parties.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior SAP experience

  • Prior Risk Management experience

  • Prior Earned Value Management experience and relevant applications

  • Prior external customer support/interface experience
