The Central Engineering Services directorate is seeking exceptional technical talent & proven leadership to deliver service-oriented capabilities, foster a collaborative, learning culture, & fuel predictable program performance.

The Engineering Support Services team, within Central Engineering Services, has an opening for a Mission Systems Business Integration - Change Manager (Sr Manager, Project Management). This role will report to the Associate Director, Engineering Support Services. The position will play a role in managing key change management activities and/or communication strategies for major business integration efforts across Mission Systems. The position will focus on connecting the business systems migration, quality management system alignment, D&D processes updates, tools, training and integration activities across Mission Systems. The individual will engage with cross functional executive leadership (e.g Finance, Engineering, Value Stream, Human Resources, Business Development, Operations, etc.) to coordinate, consult and advise on change management matters and to orchestrate key decisions as needed within the business environment. This role will be crucial to helping to integrate all business integration processes within the legacy Rockwell Collins and legacy UTAS businesses that make up Mission Systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing cross-functional business integration threads (e.g Process Harmonization Integration Thread, CMS-301, Project Uno, CT3 tools integration, PLM and ALM migrations) focused on business systems migration, quality management system alignment, D&D processes updates, tools, training

  • Responsible for leading and coordinating change management and communication strategies for business integration activities across Mission Systems

  • Provides project management expertise for single large-sized or several intermediate-sized business integration projects.

  • Direct and coordinate project-related efforts in multiple locations, with production and services of several principal stakeholders.

  • Experience with achieving cost, schedule, performance goals by providing leadership and direction of all project efforts. Plan, organize and schedule project tasks. Authorize, direct, coordinate, and status progress. Accountable for performance (in-house and other). Problem anticipation and avoidance, revises project plans as permitted by policy and project requirements. Regularly presenting material to the project team, and executive leadership.

  • Regularly cadence status with data and metrics to executive leadership. Project accountability: direction of project efforts. Directing, authorizing, and controlling project related development

  • Control customer interface and communication with management. Lead and direct broad organizational projects. Fulfill complex obligations including milestone and budget commitments. Collaborate with other stakeholders supporting integration efforts to achieve business integration objectives. Champions change to align organization with business strategies.

  • Demonstrates leadership skills with drive to succeed while building effective business relationships.

  • Results oriented with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of company and customers.

  • Business Leader: Possess a strong understanding of the business including its products, financials and operations

  • Strategic Planner: Ability to translate business opportunities into effective business solutions

  • Culture & Change Ambassador: Embody, influence and drive culture throughout the business

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advance degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency

  • Proven ability to work across the organization and build relationships

  • Extensive experience leading large, complex projects and working with team members at all levels within the enterprise.

  • Experience working with and/or directing cross-functional teams across a large organization

  • Leadership Skills - Ability to set direction, make effective decisions, and influence and motivate others to achieve business objectives

  • Communication Skills - Ability to coach, consult and influence leaders regarding the importance of good “people” practices and the links to business success; ability to conduct effective presentations, facilitate meetings; ability to be approachable and empathetic to employee needs.

  • Leadership Acumen - Ability to understand the total business integration framework from strategy through implementation; possesses reasonably broad business domain knowledge in areas such as Engineering Development, Change Management.

  • Influence Stakeholders- Ability to influence executive leadership and business integration initiatives to help achieve business objectives
