Searching for a talented earned value expert to serve as a cost lead helping manager to train cost analysts, optimize processes, assist with executive leader program reviews, emphasis on assisting team with accurate and consistent sales and margin forecasting quarter over quarter, assist with annual operating plan and long range plan. The lead role in IPP&C is one that will provide overhead support to the group while helping to manage a few smaller programs (IR&D, FFP, etc). The ideal candidate will have experience with the Department of Defense’s Earned Value Management System Implementation Guide (EVMSIG) and the Earned Value Management Implementation Guide (EVMIG) as well as the Earned Value Management Systems Intent Guide. This role will work with many project team and will advise on strategies for cost and schedule development in order to meet contract / project requirements for large complex programs. Candidates must have experience with all contract types (fixed price, cost redeterminable. IR&D, time and material, OTAs / cost share, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cost capture focal; provide actual spend data weekly

  • Establishes / maintains program cost baseline

  • Measures performance against baseline

  • Lead program teams through month end process

  • Data reconciliation with accounting system and project schedule

  • Provide monthly, quarterly and yearly sales forecasting

  • Collaborate with financial planning, pricing, and contract peers to status government funded projects.

  • Generate & present quarterly financial and earned value performance data to Mission Systems leadership

  • Ensure compliance to Mission Systems EV System Description

  • Liason with government and internal EV auditors

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advance degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned value experience

  • Microsoft Office products

  • Familiarity with SAP and Cobra
