This position is for sourcing analyst on the Electronic Component team. Responsibilities will be to work closely with the commodity manager(s) to set overall strategy and execute that strategy for the component commodity. This includes sending out RFPs, gathering documentation, communicating clearly with suppliers, peers, leadership and other internal teams, organizing compliance requirements and executing final contract.
This individual will ideally sit at Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA or Charlotte, NC but can sit at any Collins Aerospace domestic location. Remote locations will be considered.
Clearly communicate with commodity manager, internal customers, and suppliers
Ability to work in Ariba to develop RFP to send out to supply base
Strong skill set using Excel, Access and other analytical programs
Collaborates with multiple business units to executes Supply Chain strategies
Able to build strong relationships with suppliers
Can organize documentation into format that can be used for compliance purposes
Ability to review commodity market and make a fair and reasonable determination
Works with limited oversight from leadership
Manages and prioritizes several projects at one time
Clearly communicate project status to leadership
Analyzes data and information to determine reasonable prices with commodity manager assistance
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
Must be willing and able to travel 5% of the time
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Experience with Electronic Components
Awareness of Supply Chain practices and Commodity Management
Experience with Excel, Access database, SAP, and Ariba
