Senior Electronics Technician - Advanced Technology

Looking for innovators, creative thinkers, and problem solvers. In the Mission Systems Advanced Technology Labs, we take innovative ideas and bring them to life. You can be a part of a team that helps develop revolutionary, industry leading technology. Our team is looking for a motivated, confident, and passionate technician to help develop the next generation of communication and aviation electronic solutions. This unique position working in our electronics lab supports internal and external customer funded programs. In addition to working on industry leading technology you would be a key member of the team that develops new processes, test and analyzes results and creates advanced parts in the electronics lab. This role is going to work mostly in plating and developing with opportunity to learn and do work in other areas of the lab. Job Responsibilities:

  • Successful applicant must be able to assist the engineering research and technology development effort in the areas of design, layout, fabrication, assembly, test, RF troubleshooting, repair, and modification of experimental prototype electronic equipment.

  • Successful candidate must be able to work independently, take initiative, and be able to provide innovative and creative solutions to complex problems.

  • Applicant must be able to work well with internal and external customers.

  • Successful applicant must be able to work effectively in a team environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates for this role should possess a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Proficiency with the design, assembly, test, troubleshooting, repair, and modification (at the component/die level) of RF A/D converters and RF/Microwave circuits (required)

  • Familiar with RF testing and characterization, preferably up to 50 GHz. This includes use of a spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, and other similar equipment. (required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ​Experience and familiarity with: Ubuntu operating system, FPGAs, LabVIEW and MatLab (preferred)

  • Experience using PCB layout tools (AutoCAD, CR5000, or similar) for high frequency RF circuitry (preferred)
