Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) within Raytheon Technologies is seeking experienced personnel in support of the Polar Operational Support Contract awarded by the US Navy SPAWAR Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic, Charleston, SC (N65236-18-D-8002).
The NAVWAR Office of Polar Programs (NPP) mission and related aviation support services include systems and maintenance support, ATC services, and meteorological services. Raytheon Technologies is looking for: 1 Full time SCA Systems Support Specialist.

Systems Support Specialist (SCLS 14170)
The designee will provide technical support and conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Information Systems for the US Antarctic networks to include installing and supporting project specific software, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and responding to, reporting and assisting in IT Security incidents, Assist in daily server and workstation checks. Assist with project installation, operational test and verification of software, and modifying and updating special purpose programs, The designee will provide support for system equipment hardware/software life-cycle support, Provide end-user desktop support, Install new and rebuild existing workstations and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements, Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
Three (3) years of experience, to include: Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, UNIX and Windows based operating system, and virtual environments.
Security + Certification is required
Complete Cyber Security Work Force OS/CE requirements within six months after assuming duties: CSWF members with privileged access must obtain appropriate Computing Environment [training] for the operating system(s) and/or security related tools/devices they support as required by their employing organization. If supporting multiple tools and devices, the user should obtain [training] for all the tools or devices they are supporting.
High School diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Networking, Information Assurance, Computer Science or other IT based program desired.
