The data manager for Supplier Performance will be responsible for coordinating and implementing data solutions from various data sources across the enterprise. A successful candidate will need to develop relationships across the entire Collins’ supply chain and lead projects to completion in a timely manner that support a total Collins view of supplier performance data.

This individual can sit onsite at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defining data strategies taking into consideration business needs, business growth and security needs (ITAR/CAS)

  • Responsible for roadmaps, technology evaluation, and constant evolvement of the platforms

  • Facilitate system feasibility studies, proof of concepts, pilot project, and testing

  • Defining, implementing, and operating data governance bodies, including typical data governance policies, processes, and standards

  • Defining and applying data quality standards, using various data quality tools to profile data for data quality issues, and collaborating with data consumers to remediate data quality issues

  • Developing strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database

  • Working in a data warehouse environment, which includes data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation

  • Defining and implementing cloud solution architecture that supports supplier development and supplier quality in either AWS or Azure

  • Creating an architecture that supports and advocates self-service business intelligence environments

  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently

  • Ability to be strategic and creative while remaining detail-oriented and process-focused

  • Strong written and oral communication

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience. In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Must be willing and able to travel 5% of the time

  • Experience with several languages: C#, Java,

  • Experience rolling out IaaS, PaaS or serverless solutions in either AWS or Azure

  • Experience with various relational databases: MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle

  • Experience with ETL or ELT tools and techniques: SSIS, Alteryx, Data Factory, Glue

  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Business Objects, Tableau, SSRS, Power BI, ggplot, etc.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience developing data solutions that help identify data sources, create data definitions, build data extracts and execute data loads as well as managing user provisioning, user security, and ongoing systems support

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.) as well as data catalog, data analysis and data lineage

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics or equivalent

  • Experience creating and maintaining data pipelines, containers and orchestration

  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics
