This position is for an experienced professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise who leads in the supply and demand planning process, and is responsible for making significant improvements of processes, systems, and products to enhance performance of work area and team. Works with internal and external team leaders to develop key performance metrics (KPI) reporting solutions.

This individual can sit at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technical lead to facilitates with Operations team leaders in the development of Key performance Indicators (KPIs) for monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters.

  • Analyzes and leads in the development of new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability

  • Technical Lead in developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices for dashboards

  • Technical Lead for digital materials appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.

  • Guides in establishing clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP.

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems

  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience. In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time (domestic & international)

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Technical Lead or management experience of large cross functional projects in a matrix organization

  • Developing project scope and identifying opportunities for reporting needs

  • SQL coding experience, Alteryx ETL mapping experience, Tableau, Utilizing Databases (SQL Server, Teradata)

  • APICS training/certification, SAP Data Understanding

  • Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tableau and Alteryx experience

  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst

  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques, data schemas

  • Data engineering/ETL performance analysis

  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

  • Understanding of Agile\scrum methodologies
