Supply Chain Logistics Co-Op is responsible for execution, training and driving compliance to the use of the strategic logistics options. The position will involve significant exposure to the Transactional Purchasing process and to the expediting operations throughout Collins Supply Chain.

Job Responsibilities

  • Helping to develop strategies to achieve cost savings, driving compliance to identified strategies in the logistics commodity, working with RTX to develop a Transportation Management System, and other logistics projects as they arise including

  • Creating Standard Work and managing SBU communications

  • Validating workflow approvals against freight receipts to avoid unnecessary expenses

  • Creating actionable reports on freight lanes, suppliers, or Collins sites that are experiencing a disproportionate use of non-compliant or premium Freight expenses, investigating Root Causes, and driving actions to optimize logistics utilization

  • Periodic reporting to Collins leadership of savings, successes, challenges and opportunities

  • Analyze logistics details to effectively identify opportunities for improvement in logistics performance

  • Deliver guidance to transactional logistics decisions and tactical instruction to meet critical deliveries

  • Coordinating with Collins sites and Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to implement the freight usage logic Premium Freight Workflow

  • Providing Training, responding to inquiries, and managing exceptions to the use of the logistics tools

  • Developing, in conjunction with others, and managing the roll out of an Outbound Premium Freight Workflow

  • Provide decision support to strategic sourcing analysis, focusing on benefits and risks of logistics options

  • Managing the supplier rebill process and compiling data on cost savings as a result of charge backs for the unauthorized use of Premium Freight

  • Responding to inquiries from both Suppliers and Buyers regarding why the Supplier was charged back for the costs of freight

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
