The Weapons & Platforms Center (W&PC) within the Systems Test Directorate of Raytheon Missiles and Defense is seeking candidates for the role of a Missile Systems Support Engineer/Integrator at NAWS China Lake. This position will be primarily involved with the AMRAAM® missile and may be required to assist with other co-located programs.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
You must be able to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Work will be performed under only general direction and you must be able to independently determine and develop solutions.
This is a demanding, hands-on, lab and direct flight test support position. There are some non-standard and extended hours under potentially extreme conditions.
This position requires up to 30% travel possible.
Work will be done mostly domestically but could include some international sites
Responsibilities also include: flight line missile / equipment preparation, flight test planning, execution, and data review of both captive carry and live fire testing.
Use of COMSEC equipment, AIS computers, and telemetry equipment is required.
You will maintain and reconfigure munitions, monitor weapon telemetry in a control room environment, perform flight line operations and communicate directly with both internal and external customers on a daily basis.
Qualifications you must have:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but extensive relevant experience may also be considered.
A minimum of five (5) years related professional experience with experience in 4 or more of the following areas:
Experience with laboratory test equipment, electronics.
Experience with software and the setup, calibration, maintenance, and operation of automatic test stations.
Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings
Experience and knowledge of telemetry software and associated hardware
Experience and thorough knowledge Windows based PCs, software and peripheral hardware
Experience troubleshooting varied electronic equipment
Must be capable of lifting at least 25 lbs. and performing work in an industrial environment.
Qualifications We Value:
A minimum of eight years of relevant electronic, computer or mechanical experience strongly preferred.
Intermediate engineering skills, hands on experience with laboratory test equipment, electronics and software preferred.
Ability to work well in diverse teams and have the ability to multi-task

Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced teaming environment.

Familiar with Lumistar or similar type telemetry systems
Experience with Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and classified computer security requirements
Telemetry dictionary manipulation
