Collins Aerospace is looking for a Logistics Coordinator who work in the Chula Vista Distribution Center's Traffic and Inventory Department. You will interface with internal customers, various internal customers, freight forwarders, International Trade Compliance, and Spares leadership. You will interpret shipping documents with the goal of determining carrier, service level and delivery needs in an economical fashion. You will also research inventory differences, analyze inventory data, assist with inventory accuracy, transaction and internal customer requests. In addition, you will be responsible for continuous improvement in the area, and help development and use of ACE, CORE and Lean Manufacturing tools to best support our customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains effective communications with customers and field team members to better understand support requirements.

  • Process documents at high speed and error free within a high-volume, high-paced work environment

  • Contacts customers frequently requiring a high degree of tact and courtesy to maintain and build good rapport.  Develops diverse product knowledge and may perform diagnostic procedures.

  • Follow all Export regulations as they relate to AES filing

  • Analyzes and interprets test information to resolve design/system related problems.

  • Performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing and removing equipment.

  • Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.

  • Manages technical products, services, logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers.

  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and recommends actions to company or customer representatives.

  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.

  • Acts as local on-site UTC representative to the customer's organization.

  • Manages statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Shipping/Logistic experience

  • General knowledge of inventory management i.e., cycle counting, inventory reconciliations, receiving/storing of finished products etc.

  • Able to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally (when circumstances permit)

  • Able to communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership

  • Experience with MS PowerPoint creating presentations

  • ERP experience

  • Continuous Improvement Tool experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience

  • Aerospace Industry experience

  • SAP experience

  • Lean, Six Sigma or ACE

  • Knowledge of shipping software
