Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Facilities Supervisor to lead a team of union and contract workers both in janitorial and HVAC responsibilities. You will need to have experience coordinating and meeting with outside vendor services. You will need to walk the job, get the bid, coordinate with the workers, submit the bids to finance for approval. In addition, you will be working in conjunction with the facility’s security officer to ensure that the facility control plan meets military regulations.
Supervise a staff of maintenance technicians, maintenance utility workers, HVAC and other facilities trades people.
Oversee all security contractors and maintain the security control plan
Lead and direct the troubleshooting of equipment and facilities issues.
Determine the least waste way when utilizing materials, processes, equipment and machinery to improve the company's capabilities.
Prepare summary of actions required and sequence of events for scheduling and implementation.
Determine requirements for projects by understanding customer requirements. Provide coordination and ensures project completion.
Champion waste minimization efforts & systems reliability.
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures.
Prepare work scopes, preventative maintenance routines, bills of materials, requests for quotations, purchase requisitions and other facilities related documents.
Ensure preventative maintenance routines are completed and entered into CMMS.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
Able to communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership
Experiencing leading and building relationships in a cohesive manner.
Maintenance and preventative maintenance experience.
Experience working with Unions
Inventory management-CMMS experience
Maintenance programs and management - particularly computerized maintenance management software (CMMS);
Maintenance of equipment records and histories
Manpower planning (scheduling)
Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC) experience
Water / sewer & process piping
Compressors and compressed air systems
Pumps, piping & plumbing; power transmission
Material handling & storage
Instrumentation & controls
