Pratt & Whitney Engineering Support to Operations Engineering (ESTO) is seeking a proactive, goal oriented, detail-focused project engineer to work for the ESTO organization as an Integrated Product Team Leader in a role based in Columbus, Georgia. In this role you will be responsible for project management for the PW1500G and PW1100G compressor blades working directly with the Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT) and the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organizations along with quality and manufacturing engineering teams based at Columbus Forge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead an Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements

  • Facilitating project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment and completion with overall project objectives.

  • Track and report progress and ensure that established targets are met.

  • Plan and manage budget for all hardware and tasks.

  • Prepare/present status and technical content to ESTO Leadership, CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney management.

  • Identifying and addressing project problems and recommending resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

  • Work closely with the IPT members and technical experts on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.

  • Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering change executions for those initiatives.

  • Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.

  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.

  • Practices and processes are following applicable employment and labor law, including EEO/AAP along with export compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering

  • 5+ years of relevant experience or advance degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Status (Green Card Holder) is required

  • Less than 10% travel

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project, or other scheduling software

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships

  • Exposure to project, cost, and schedule management helpful

  • Possess excellent judgement, professional maturity, and cultural awareness

  • Analytical skills and ability to provide creative solutions

  • Participation in process improvement efforts helpful
