The F135 Global Site Activation organization focuses on Introduction to Service of the F-35 Weapon System (WS), specifically the F135 Propulsion System. The sequence and implementation of activities required for Depot, MRO&U, and site/ship activation in preparation and transfer to sustainment operations are the key deliverables.

In this position, you will be the Pratt and Whitney Global Site Activation representative to the F-35 Hybrid Product Support Integration / LCD (Logistics Delivery Capability) (HPSI/LCD) team and be co-located with the F-35 JPO and other industry personnel at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio.

This position will require close integration with the F135 Global Site Activation Team and F135 Sustainment functions centered in East Hartford, CT.

This individual will report directly to the P&W Global Site Activation organization and collaborate with entities within Global Site Activation such as, MROU/FACO program manager, Depot program manager, operational base program manager, and parts manufacturing program manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate HPSI/LCD needs to the F135 Global Site Activation Teams in East Hartford.

  • Communicate and participate in JPO/P&W events (scheduled, technical, and contractual) with HPSI leadership.

  • Participate in daily and weekly HPSI calls

  • Coordinate/communicate and provide status of Global Site Activation projects and activities to the HPSI

  • Host customer COVID-19 policies and procedures will be enforced during the ongoing pandemic. Any office restrictions or work-from-home directives will be determined by the customer and followed. In a post COVID-19 environment, the incumbent will be required to work from the HPSI government office located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio full-time.

  • Occasional US travel will be required; some international travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical disciplines, or project management is required.

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Customer/Product Support and Program Management is required, military experience preferred.

  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

  • Must have or be able to receive and maintain a US government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with military operational sites and or government or commercial depot or repair operations.

  • Familiarity with engine maintenance programs, operations, sustainment and logistics, and P&W’s aftermarket business, F135 propulsion experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of International Trade Compliance (BAER experience desired)

  • Demonstrated analytical skills coupled with global business perspective.

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, writing and interpersonal skills to support interactions with foreign and domestic military personnel in addition to industry and government organizations from hourly workforce to senior executive levels.

  • High confidence computer skills including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
