Job Description:
Exciting opportunity in Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) as an Electrical engineer based in Dallas, Texas with responsibilities having significant impact, recognition, and growth in the organization.
The engineer will have responsibility for the design, development, and sustainment of state-of-the-art Transmit/Receive (T/R) microwave functions (modules, TRIMMs, module-less, planar, etc). This position is within Raytheon’s Intelligence and Space (RIS) division Hardware Engineering Center. The engineer will reside within the Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) Antenna Core Products (ACP) department in Dallas, Texas.
The HWEC ACP department is responsible for full-scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for microwave products, including architecture trades, design, layout, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions. The engineer will implement best practice standards with regard to the planning, coordination, and execution of microwave design and test with sound engineering process discipline and leadership.
Required Skills:
Design knowledge of transmit/receive functions covering large frequency range (MHz thru Ka-band)
Experience in the design, layout, development, test and verification of T/R functions at microwave frequencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and layout tool (AutoCAD, Mentor or other)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
Design experience leading to production of microwave components
Experience using Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Matlab, and AutoCAD
RF/Microwave Design Verification Test (DVT) experience with network/spectrum analyzers and/or antenna measurement systems
Comfortable interfacing with technical engineers and presenting to upper-level management
Good verbal and written communication skills
Required Education:
B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, Mathematics
BS and 2 years of experience, MS and 0 years of experience
Desired Education:
M.S./M.A. or PhD in Engineering
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
