We have an immediate leadership opportunity
Section Manager (SM)
to support the Surveillance RADAR Development (SRD) and Special Mission Aircraft (SMA) Department. The SM will lead the “ RF Surveillance Systems” Section
- a unique group comprised of Chief Engineers and Engineering Fellows - that support a variety of programs and mission areas.
Raytheon Intelligence & Space
The SM position requires
an individual with broad domain knowledge in System Engineering principles who will contribute to full life-cycle product development and ensure
robust design principles and rigorous engineering practices are followed.
The SM will manage a Section
of approximately 10-20 engineers. Typical duties include:
Development of staffing plans and workforce development roadmaps;
hiring, training coordination, performance management, career development, and overall resource management; coordinating program staffing needs; optimizing resource utilization and interviewing / hiring applicants.
Support of new business development, including development of system conceptual designs, generation of white papers, technical and cost proposals.
Reviews, provides guidance, and monitors overall
quality of engineering work products generated by Section members.
erves as a day-to-day liaison to the Program(s), department management and associated engineering centers.
Position will be based out of North Texas - McKinney, Dallas, or Plano
Minimum 10 years of full life-cycle engineering experience in the aerospace/defense industry (related systems engineering background is preferred).
Prior experience as a supervisor, manager, or leader of engineers
Experience leading Cross-Functional Teams or Integrated Product Teams
Earned Value Management System knowledge
Must be a U.S. Citizen with Active (or active within past 2 years) DoD Secret Clearance.
Surveillance RADAR Engineering Domain Knowledge
Special Mission Aircraft Engineering Domain Knowledge
Experienced with Proposal Preparation and Cost Estimation
: Bachelor of Science from an accredited institution in a related STEM discipline.
Desired Education: Advanced degree in a related STEM discipline.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization .
