Job Summary:

We are looking for a Machine Tools Maintenance (MTM) Controls Technician with extensive experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing CNC machine controls. The employee is tasked with the repair and maintenance of all manual and CNC machines in a large machining facility performing high precision work. This position entails troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all aspects of numerically controlled machine tools, conventional machine tools, and electronic systems and controls.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • The MTM technician ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pumps, conveyor systems, and production machines following diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, blueprints, manufacturers’ instructions, and engineering specifications using hand tools, power tools, and electronic test/diagnostic instruments.

  • All technicians are expected to contribute to team efforts and maintain continuity among work teams/shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

    This position can be a Production Specialist or a Production Specialist Senior, based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience requirements for the position

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    Production Specialist

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • 6 years’ experience with CNC controls for multi-axis cutting machines.

  • 1-year minimum experience performing preventive maintenance.

  • Experience with Haas, Okuma, Siemens, Fanuc and/or Mitsubishi CNC control systems and machine feedback devices, rotary and/or linear scales or encoders.

  • Experience working from mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams/schematics, technical publications or engineering specifications.

  • Experience with machine feedback systems; rotary and linear scales, encoders or DRO systems

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Production Specialist Senior

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Experience with 4 and 5-axis lathes and mills

  • 8 years’ experience with CNC controls for multi-axis cutting machines.

  • 1-year minimum experience troubleshooting NC machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulically operated functions.

  • Experience with ball-screws, bearings, gearing, indicators, micrometers, gage blocks and optical comparators.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
