Raytheon Technologies Mission Assurance Engineer Manager in Dallas, Texas

Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Mission Assurance Engineer Manager at our Dallas, TX location.

The Mission Assurance Engineer Manager will provide quality engineering support and expertise to RI&S to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.

Additional roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Provide area/program direction to assure quality tasking is accomplished within budget, on time and as defined in planning.

  • Manage the quality function (establishes, oversees, and coordinates quality policy and practice) of the organization.

  • Create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements to Raytheon program teams and supply base.

  • Implement Quality Engineering responsibilities as a member of a program integrated product team (IPT).

  • Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation.

  • Perform independent reviews and assessments of area/program performance, including independent technical assessments of systems engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), lessons learned, industry best practices, technology, production and programmatic (cost, schedule, quality and risks).

  • Identify and address areas where the adequacy of area/program plans, requirements, analyses, risk mitigation plans, certification/ verification/validation/qualification approaches and process/product noncompliance have the potential to impact overall mission success.

  • Responsible for continuously reviewing quality strategy, practice, and procedure to ensure the customer requirements are met.

  • Establish customer relations and communications processes.

    U.S. Citizenship required, as the candidate must have an Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance day one of employment.

    Required Skills

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations discipline serving on programs with working knowledge of production, engineering production, product acceptance, and post-delivery support.

  • Experience and application with Quality Management Systems IS0 9001, AS9100, AS9102, and quality processes and tools

  • Assessing technical risk of non-conformances requiring analytical and technical critical thinking

  • Review change requests and supplier change requests for technical impact

  • Working knowledge of Industry and Government Quality Requirements and Standards

  • The ability to lead, support, and mentor others in routine settings and difficult situations

  • Ability to collaborate with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems

  • Working knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology, systems and resources

  • Experience in predictive and proactive measures and metrics assessments and supporting actions to improve performance or mitigate problems

  • Thorough written and verbal presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Desired Skills

  • Past or present regular member or chair of Material and Failure non-conformance review boards (MRB/FRB)

  • Experience in developing or a member of risk & opportunity management, assessment, mitigation and capture

  • Six Sigma Certification

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer

  • Experience with statistical and metrics software (e.g. Tableau, Minitab)

  • Experience with factory systems and software (e.g. PRISM, SAP, Windchill)

  • Knowledge and experience with Systems or Reliability Engineering.

    Education

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
