Raytheon Technologies Mission Assurance Engineer Manager in Dallas, Texas
Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Mission Assurance Engineer Manager at our Dallas, TX location.
The Mission Assurance Engineer Manager will provide quality engineering support and expertise to RI&S to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
Additional roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Provide area/program direction to assure quality tasking is accomplished within budget, on time and as defined in planning.
Manage the quality function (establishes, oversees, and coordinates quality policy and practice) of the organization.
Create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements to Raytheon program teams and supply base.
Implement Quality Engineering responsibilities as a member of a program integrated product team (IPT).
Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation.
Perform independent reviews and assessments of area/program performance, including independent technical assessments of systems engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), lessons learned, industry best practices, technology, production and programmatic (cost, schedule, quality and risks).
Identify and address areas where the adequacy of area/program plans, requirements, analyses, risk mitigation plans, certification/ verification/validation/qualification approaches and process/product noncompliance have the potential to impact overall mission success.
Responsible for continuously reviewing quality strategy, practice, and procedure to ensure the customer requirements are met.
Establish customer relations and communications processes.
U.S. Citizenship required, as the candidate must have an Active U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance day one of employment.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations discipline serving on programs with working knowledge of production, engineering production, product acceptance, and post-delivery support.
Experience and application with Quality Management Systems IS0 9001, AS9100, AS9102, and quality processes and tools
Assessing technical risk of non-conformances requiring analytical and technical critical thinking
Review change requests and supplier change requests for technical impact
Working knowledge of Industry and Government Quality Requirements and Standards
The ability to lead, support, and mentor others in routine settings and difficult situations
Ability to collaborate with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems
Working knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology, systems and resources
Experience in predictive and proactive measures and metrics assessments and supporting actions to improve performance or mitigate problems
Thorough written and verbal presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Past or present regular member or chair of Material and Failure non-conformance review boards (MRB/FRB)
Experience in developing or a member of risk & opportunity management, assessment, mitigation and capture
Six Sigma Certification
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer
Experience with statistical and metrics software (e.g. Tableau, Minitab)
Experience with factory systems and software (e.g. PRISM, SAP, Windchill)
Knowledge and experience with Systems or Reliability Engineering.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
