Raytheon Technologies Senior Electrical Engineer II in Dallas, Texas
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Production Support Engineer with experience in Production Program Support and/or Design experience. We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with Suppliers, out-of-state Factories, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. Candidates will have the potential to transition into Design position in about 2 years.
This position requires up to 50% travel. This position will reside in RIS Engineering in the Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) department that supports the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS) Mission Area.
Responsibilities include:
Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels to include analog/digital/radio frequency (RF)/power circuitry and interfaces
Resolution of issues on production lines and with suppliers
Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation
Partnering in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures
Leadership of root cause and corrective action investigations and presentation of findings to management
Up to 50% travel to suppliers and / or out of state factories
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of experience supporting Production and/or Test of electrical sub-systems in a manufacturing environment, or related design experience
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and performing failure analysis of circuits with demonstrated knowledge of associated measurement equipment.
Ability to understand and interpret Acceptance Test Requirements
Excellent skills and experience performing analysis of technical data
Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentations
U.S. Citizenship is required as the position does require DoD Secret Clearance Day 1 of employment start date
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting cross functional investigations
Experience developing test plans/methodologies
Leadership of small technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination and preparation of detailed technical team reports
Mixed Signal Design: One or more of the following. A/D Converters, Digital Down Converters, D/A Converters, Digital Waveform Generators, Mixed Signal CCAs, Mixed Signal Modules and Subsystems
Digital Hardware: One or more of the following. Subsystem/Module Digital Circuits, FPGA/ASICs, COTS Interfaces, Subsystem Development, VME/PCI interfaces Digital Systems, System Trades, Architecture, Embedded Processing
Experience with Embedded Systems Development: CPLDs, FPGAs, SoC
Experience with Receiver & Exciter (REX) Design: REX System Analysis, Exciter Design, Receiver Design, Low Noise Sources, Simulation and Modeling, Integration and Test
Test Development experience: Test Set Hardware development and/or Test Set Software generation for testing radar subsystems and components
Exposure to analytical tools such as Matlab/Simulink
Experience with Mentor Graphics xDX Designer
Experience with circuit card component selection, schematic entry, and layout
Familiarity with simulation and CAD tools is a plus
Experience with LabVIEW
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related technical discipline (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering) STEM Degree
Desired Education:
MS in a related field Engineering, Math, Science or related technical discipline (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering) STEM Degree
