Raytheon Technologies Senior Principal Electrical Engineer, Integrated Product Team Lead in Dallas, Texas
The Antenna & Microwave Products Department is seeking an engineering leader based in Dallas, Texas with responsibilities having significant impact, recognition, and growth in the organization. This is a great opportunity for an emerging IPTL or chief engineer. The Antenna and Microwave Products (AP) department resides within the Common Engineering function as part of Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS). The position requires domain knowledge of Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs) and associated technologies and proven leadership skills to effectively lead multi-disciplinary teams in pursuit and program execution. Raytheon AESA technologies are used for military radar, electronic warfare, and communications systems. The department is responsible for full-scope antenna product solutions, spanning architecture trades, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions. The successful candidate will have domain knowledge of system engineering, design, or test in one or more of the following areas: arrayed antennas, RF Circuits, beam-forming architectures, power and thermal, and beam control firmware / software. Candidates will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have demonstrated experience leading teams in pursuit and program execution teams using management best-practices and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to deliver compliant on-time / on-budget solutions.
Domain knowledge of AESA systems with design or test experience in one or more of the following: systems engineering, arrayed antennas, monolithic microwave integrated circuits, radio frequency (RF) modules, beam-forming architectures, power and thermal, and beam control firmware / software
Prior experience as an IPTL, including demonstrated ability to effectively organize and lead multi-disciplinary program and pursuit teams through structured systems engineering, integration, and test, root-cause problem solving, and detailed task planning to achieve on-time / on-schedule task execution
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Ability to draft and deliver program and customer briefings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in the execution of work products including detailed program plans, statements of work (SOW), schedules, budgets, and Integrated Master Plans (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and Estimated at Completion (EAC)
Principles of Systems Engineering (POSE) and Basis of Estimate (BOE) certification
Systems engineering experience including the drafting of artifacts such as specifications, procedures, and CDRLs
Experience leading proposal activities
RF Test Equipment, MATLAB, DOORS, HFSS, System Vue, Model-based Systems Engineering
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related technical degree and 10 years experience
Advanced degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related technical degree and 7 years experience
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
