Raytheon Technologies Sr Multi-Disciplined Eng II - Robotics Engineer in Dallas, Texas
We have exciting opportunity for a Sr. Multi-Disciplined Engineer II - Robotics Automation to work in the Hardware Electronic Center of Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) division, at our facility in North Dallas, Texas.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, test, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various automation systems including hardware and software solutions. This position will also at times work with external automation integrators and have the responsibility for the sustainment and advancement of deployed commercial and custom automation systems, have direct responsibility for key systems that are critical to maintaining production requirements, and interact directly customers and suppliers.

Hands on automation programing experience working with any or most of the of the following tools and applications:
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) / Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
Vision Software (Sherlock and Cognex highly preferred)
Digital Inputs and Outputs (I/O)
Smart Motors (preferred)
Visual Studios software development experience; including .NET C# (Visual Basic highly preferred)
Strong understanding standard Ethernet TCP/IP networking concepts; including: Dynamic and Static IP Addressing, Routing and Switching, VLANS, etc.
Experience working with Omron / Adept robotics programming languages for UR Robots, IAI, or Animatics SmartMotor, and/or Fanuc industrial robots
Industry 4.0 experience as it applies to automation maintenance and machine utilization
Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) / Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, PTC Windchill highly preferred
Solid understanding of configuration management practices
Strong software programming skills working with any of the following languages: Linux, Java, and Python
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM Degree Program (Bachelor’s Degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering highly preferred) with 6 + years of relevant experience required.
Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM Degree Program (Master’s Degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering highly preferred) with 4+ years of relevant experience required.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Security Clearance Requirement: An active and in-scope Secret or above level U.S. Security Clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance 178251
